Prepare for leadership and management roles with industry-focused training in team coordination and business operations.

Delivery Mode

This qualification is delivered face to face on campus. Students are required to attend scheduled classes for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Additional independent study may be required in the student’s own time.

Training and assessment may include classroom-based learning, simulated workplace activities, individual and group tasks, case studies, projects, presentations and practical workplace-based scenarios.

Course Overview

The BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

Students will develop skills in communication, critical thinking, workplace relationships, operational planning, emotional intelligence, team effectiveness, customer service, professional development, budgeting, meetings, work health and safety, and business risk.

This is a nationally recognised qualification.
